Murky water with or without wind and wave action. Massive dumps of freshwater at sea and on land are contributing to cloudy viz, at least within the first 15-20’ of the surface. Passing showers sometime include lightning but that remains only one reason to reconsider a beach dive today. Offshore dives will be slightly better where current clears the water.
