The Yankee Clipper Erojacks are less well-known than the Dania Erojacks but only because they are a little further offshore and slightly more difficult to locate.  Yet, once a diver sees these jacks are twice as high and twice as wide, with marine life twice as populous and larger than other jack structures, one sees the attraction.  Our team has photographed hogfish as big as doormats here and videod nursesharks being chased by other sharks.  Nearby lies the wreck of a barge that sank here during the hurricane of 1925, providing historical context to the site as well as diving significance.

Our dive plan includes a visit to the jacks and the wreck (conditions permitting), then a return to the beach.  We'll survey both sites for lionfish and for damage/debris from illegal anchoring during the recent Tortuga Festival.  We'll recover as much debris as practical and safe before exiting.

Depths will reach 30' and maximum dive time may be 60-75 minutes.  This swim is longer than most, so if you are not up to 1/3 mile surface approach and longer return underwater, please wait for a more appropriate dive.

In addition to standard scuba kit, divers should have a mesh bag for debris.  A dive flag is required per team but we should have at least one to spare, if you don't have one.
