DAILY BEACH DIVER REPORT: 10-2-22

We really were not kidding when we said the ocean needed to rest before we dive it again. Some who tried yesterday report visibility as poor as 1-2’ (Blue Heron Bridge) and 2-4’ (Fort Lauderdale). Even those who took an expensive boat ride further out gained only a little with 4-6’ of viz on the 2nd and 3rd reefs. Those are conditions only the desperate must accept for a dive. Let’s give it a few more days. Forecasts project some more calm maybe by the weekend but possible rough conditions mid-week. Veteran beach divers and water watchers know that October can be a difficult month.
